I wanted to channel my inner New Yorker after visiting the city this past week. I thought I would go for a sleek chic with a vintage leather jacket. I've been itching to go back to the Revolve Clothing Exchange, where I found this beauty, and now that I'm back in FL, it would be hard not to. The sweater underneath is between a mock and turtleneck. I like when the neck is slightly visible because it doesn't elongate it too much. The scarf is no cashmere but it's so incredibly warm. But be warned, you get what pay for. Cheap scarves shed! It's not so bad on leather but forget it when it comes to tweed, wool or cotton. A wash in cold water should do the trick but it wouldn't be as soft anymore. All in all, a scarf is an investment that I never really thought about until my favorite peacoat looked like a cat had been living in it. My belt is from Express and makes the perfect statement piece for the outfit. The silver plates really stand out against the darker colors.
Now the shoes are these sock-like unstructured staples for athleisure. And, of course, they're dupes. They're comfy and $17 and so far, more worth it than buying a cheap scarf. Since this is a day of dupes, comment your favorites below!
