My first Halloween outside of Florida. And unfortunately, it's waaayy too cold to dress slutty (hence the hackjob mouse costume). So costumes that require more layers suddenly seem more fun. To those that sucked it up, I applaud you and may attempt less layers next year. It's hot on the dance floor anyway.

This isn't the Soho scene that I've hit up for Halloween two years in a row (that got old anyway) but there is a lot of cute tradition that is so college, and I love it. First, there's "Liquor Treat" where 4-5 houses host by handing out different drinks/shots when you ring the doorbell and say "Liquor Treat!" when they open the door. So fun (but potentially dangerous). The first house offered pumpkin whiskey shots topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with cinnamon. Yeah, it was straight whiskey. I thought it was mixed and was not ready. Stuck with weaker stuff the rest of the night.

Then the big night is the following day (keep up kids!) It's not about "sexy cop" or "sexy maid" or "sexy nun" over here. It's about who can be the most clever and creative. I can already hear the booing from Tampa, chill. I was originally going the route I normally go but got talked into a group thing and it was so fun! I feel great being a part of something with a well-established group of friends I'll be spending most of my time with while I'm here, and hopefully beyond that.

And the weekend concluded with me trying not fall asleep by the end of a late concert. Actual Halloween night consisted of writing and reading assignments until like 11, wtf. But, I decided I don't care, I'm still watching a Halloween movie before the official end of the season! Final Halloween movie of the year is Nightmare Before Christmas, of course. Ugh, I hate that it has come to an end. Makes me sad. Well, here's to Christmas!
